The fast pace of creation of new computing technologies has transformed the world entrepreneurship though the direct effect of the technology on the advancement of technology entrepreneurship particularly in developing areas has not been properly researched. The study aims at addressing the problem of the conceptual void in the position of technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, the internet of things, and digital platforms) in entrepreneurial innovation, scale, and sustainability. It is proposed to speak about the role of these technologies, investigate the factors which should be considered to be important to define the use of technology, and interpret the association between this technology and sustainable growth of this business in global, African, West African and Nigerian businesses. Under the supportive research questions, which are coherent with these objectives, the research takes the conceptual approach of research using a secondary data presented in scholarly articles, books, conference papers, policy papers, and reliable online databases. The analysis has shown that emerging technologies are significantly contributing to increased innovation capability, efficiency of operations and expansion of the market whilst software engineering presence and usage of technology are causing the sustainability of the ventures. Other issues such as infrastructural breakage, shortage of skills, and adoption issue remain a reality in emerging economies. The paper finishes by giving recommendations to ensure digital preparedness, making innovations-driven development, to the actors in the ecosystems and policies as an entrepreneur.
